It's a bit hard to tell, but this piece is from Brazil, 2005.

Collecting this kind of stamp on stamp could be an interesting
sideline, though not really a topical. I wonder if the USPS would
accept such placement or if they would think the sender is hiding
prior cancels? I know they will not accept mail with tape over a
stamp if they happen to catch it.

Mod......

The USPS will not accept overlapping stamps....when found they will return items for additional postage.

It is a fairly common practice in many otrher countries.

I received a parcel from a friend in a coin forum recently. It came from the U.S.A. It had most of the stamps overlapping by at least half a stamp. There was a strip of about eight stamps. I did not have this stamp and still don't as I was unable to seperate them.

I wish that was true, the latest mix I bought is full of overlapping US stamps. They are a pain when they are the unsoakable ones.

NOTE: It probably is true but it does happen with US stamps.

I don't think I've ever seen a cover like that. I did just receive a cover with 16 U.S. stamps, though. Unfortunately, not a single one was cancelled!
