I have quite a few of the more common CSA stamps, but I have not paid much attention to them as it's not my main collecting interest. These just came in an ebay lot of revenues last week. Before they go into my collection, can anybody help me identify the versions, printers, reprints? these stamps may be?

If I may offer my opinion, the first stamp is #12, a deep blue printing by Keatings and Ball. The second stamp appears to be a #6 printed in London by De LaRue and Company. The third stamp is likely a #7, also printed by De LaRue. I cannot say from the photographs but the type of paper would help determine if they are authentic or counterfeits. I ended up with a few counterfeits in my own collection.

They are: First stamp - Scott catalog #12 printed by "Keatinge & Ball, Bank Note Engravers, Columbia, S.C.", Second stamp - the "New York Counterfeit", Third stamp #7 printed by the Richmond firm of Archer & Daly.

Thanks for the info. I googled "New York Counterfeit" and it appears that is indeed what it is!
