56 year old guy here who is looking to retire in a couple of years. Getting back into stamp collecting after a long break. I'm also a woodcarver, amateur historian and old time radio program listener. My best bud is my dog ;). Right now, I'm trying to collect and learn more about the classic stamps and those up to about 1945. Learning all about reading perfs, watermarks, id'ing the many many varieties of the early stamps. Hope to learn a lot and in time, when my feet are grounded better to contribute also. Hope all have a great week and keep collecting!

Hello Paladin57, welcome to Stamp Community!

I like the older cancels and postal markings and postmarks myself. They add value too. Postal history (covers, envelopes, stamps on piece of envelope, all have value I think and grow on you after a while.
