My father and mother both lived in the Canal Zone throughout the 70's. My mother (from southwest Arizona) was a traveling nurse only a few years out of college and managed to land a job in the Canal Zone hospital. My father (from Connecticut) went to medical school in Panama City. He then interned as a doctor in the Canal Zone hospital where he met my mother. Anyway, I was looking through one of my Dad's desk drawers and I found 3 canal zone stamps. Hodges 10 cents. I know absolutely nothing about stamps and the only good information I found searching the web was from this forum on a topic from 2010. So needless to say, I would greatly appreciate any information anyone would like to give me on this stamp and also anything else you would like to say about the canal zone stamps or anything. Thank you, any help is much appreciated.

Here is a picture of the stamps. They look to be in good condition but I know nothing about stamps, so they could be in terrible condition, but I am pretty sure these would be considered good lol.

Hodges was responsible for the design and erection of the lock gates. Not in front of my catalog at the moment, but it looks to be maybe 1950's ? As far as condition, not so good. Appears to be a stain in the center of the 3 and some bent / blunt perfs. That being said, even in perfect condition very little monetary value, but certainly a nice keepsake.

Hi Fitter, and welcome to the forum. The stamps that you show were issued January 11, 1932. Major General Harry Foote Hodges is depicted on the stamps. The stamps are of minimal value. Scott # 108.
