This post is more of a re-introduction than an introduction, per se.
I created an account here I don't even remember how long ago, but was already fairly active in several others so this one over time simply fell to the wayside. Now that the Stamp Collecting Forum over on Delphi has, for all intents and purposes, crashed and burned, I found myself back here to sniff around for a bit and I have to wonder what I was thinking by not spending more time here. This obviously is a really outstanding forum with what seems like endless discussions of endless topics on the hobby we all hold so dear. So hopefully forgiving me for my awakening and 20-20 hindsight:
I collect: NY State postal history (with an emphasis on Columbia County, especially the City of Hudson for which I have a 10-frame exhibit), Worldwide classic era mnh, Worldwide to 1900 SON, US, GB, Austria, Hungary, Federal & State hunting and fishing revenues, Germany and China (not that all of these collections are active all at once).
I'm a member of APS, the Empire State Postal History Society (Treasurer), AAPE (Board member), ATA, and the Rochester Philatelic Assoc. Being semi-retired now, I'm also a (small cheese) dealer on ebay.
OK....I've bored you all enough. The bottom line: its good to be here !
George D.

Hi George D. I am a newbie, and just had to comment on you nice reintroduction. I will keep an eye out for your NY, localized collectable stamps.

I too am a member of APS but no other save Stamp Community. I live 60 miles from civilization (and the nearest Walmart) so it would be very inconvenient to travel that far and even further, 120 miles to Albuquerque, NM to attend any "local" clubs.

I have, as of late, significantly narrowed my collecting field to Canal Zone, early US including Revenues and the like, EFO's and BOB's in general.

Take care, good health and have a great day!

Mudhut1000, John or just Mud
