Actually, not 'compound'... I was informed the right side is the
way it is from either tearing at serrated edge of stamp dispenser,
or motorized dispensor "chopping" off the stamp... more likely the
former with a serrated ripper... very interesting piece...

Interesting piece, most likely would fit in the category of a combination perf. An interesting article on Schermacks with combination perfs appeared in the August 2013 issue of The United States Specialist.

It is online, but I believe only for members of The United States Stamp Society. Annual membership of $25/ year. Back issues of The Specialist are available for $2.
