The black cancel on this R44c is it considered to be a handstamped cancel or printed cancel? Just wondering if the agent would do this to a sheet of stamps at once and then use them as needed or what. Thank you for any help and guidance.

Almost certainly a metal handstamp. Definitely not printed. Probably not done in the sheet, it would have been awkward, they worked something like a stapler does.
