Just came home from my Stamp Clubs meeting, and the clubs
moderators, for The Youth Group, have reported that there are
now 40 children, 5th and 6th graders attending the Friday afternoon
meetings.

Each of the kids were given one of State collections,in a binder,
5 manila stock cards, 10 quad-ruled blank pages, a packet of
200 US stamps, and a package of stamp hinges.

The meetings are from 12 to 1 for twenty kids, and from 1 to 2 for
the second twenty.

Things are really looking up

My next project will be printing 40 sets of the 2008 US pages.

40 Kids!

In one school?

Bob, are they being threatened into joining with grades or otherwise?

That's outstanding.

There it is, they get out of class!

It's not an after school activity.

Larry..no, from what I understand, the school day
is broken down 12-1 lunch, 1-2 free activity period for
1/2 of the kids, and 12-1 free activity period 1-2 lunch
for the other 1/2

Well without an ulterior motive like that, it really is
outstanding. I wonder if it would work elsewhere? Maybe
these kids, born into the electronic world of computers,
TV, ipods, x-boxes, and cell phones are ripe for something
really different, such as stamp collecting!

Oh boy, Bob I just finished up some packs today for 20 students. Now we are up to forty! Well another mix bag will go in but they can sort that one.

Also, I have a question on the classes. Have you hosted a series yet on president prexie series yet? Seems a great way to mix some school learning on history and stamps?

Very cool if I do say so myself Bob! God does not subtract from one's life time spent fishing and mentoring children. You'll live a nice long life Bob!
