I remember back in the late 70's when the first Black Heritage stamps were issued, many collectors boycotted the stamps and said they were not about to put "Black" stamps in their collections, even though they thought nothing of earlier issues such as Booker T. Washington, John James Audubon,Frederick Douglass, etc. Well, 36 yrs is a long time and hopefully attitudes have changed. It has developed into a really nice long running historical series.

Nice set displayed together.

I hate to tell you this, but the last page has "Heritage" spelled wrong, though.

I've always wondered why they didn't include the Rosa Parks stamp in that series.

Yes, it is strange USPS did not include the 2013 Scott #4742 Rosa Parks
issue in the Black Heritage series but I guess somehow she did not fit the profile for the series.
