How neat are those? You need to find one of those Chicken fancy cancels. There should also be some interesting chicken related revenue stamps. Maybe you can branch out to eggs.

Some time ago I was in contact with a fanatical chicken stamp collector. I lost touch with him but I think he was called chickenstampie

Jamesw - very nice cover. I like it very much.

The black (occasionally blue or white) Minorca is the largest of the Mediterranean 'light' breeds, and famous for its extra-large white eggs. A proud and stately chook which does surprisingly well in confined surroundings.
My grandfather bred chickens in his backyard - although mostly bantams.

The roosters of the breed, "el Prat de Llobregat" (just south of Barcelona) are famous for its tasty flesh and blue legs.

They came out great-- just like the proof above. The slick paper is hard to get a permanent cancel on-- they wipe off even when dry. I just stamp $PAID along side. Next time I'll print my own on dry-gummed, pre-perfed paper run through the old laser jet.
