Gee, I hope this wasn't inspired by my 15c in another thread. As bad as this #300 poor boy looks, at least it does appear to have a world's fair advertising cancel, probably for the 1904 fair in St. Louis. |

This is actually a foreign entry or foreign transfer rather than simply a re-entry. And I would love to own it, even with a big thin. :-) |

This one was in my album for some time until I got a better example. It is torn, repaired with about 5 hinges on the back, nibbled perfs, and stained. It is still in my Panama dupes stockbook though. |

I remember finding an old stamp that was actually torn in half. Still have it, but not the other half. |

This thread makes me cringe every time a new image appears.

OK, I'm finally back home (as of last evening) and just got to scan my worst stamps that I keep in my binder. A Scott #37 & #38. Don't get me wrong now, I love these little guys, but they have much to be desired that is quite obvious! |

I actually sold the stamp below to a forum member two years ago. My description in the ebay listing at the time: Quote: World's worst RB8!
Unanimous winner of the 2012 CHICAGOPEX BazookaBarf Award. Upon viewing this stamp, mothers covered the eyes of their children. Phrase most often uttered upon seeing this stamp: "Sweet Mother of GOD!"
There is no truth to the rumour that a hazmat suit was required to view this stamp, although one is certainly recommended (not included in this auction).
This is, without a doubt, the absolute WORST RB8 known to mankind. It has creases, tears, stains, discoloring, short perfs, and who knows what other faults.
It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, other than the price. No one in their right mind would ever buy this stamp... :) Here is one that I have kept, and that I love dearly. It is a fairly rare stamp, cataloging $10,000. It is in dismal condition, but (1) it is unquestionably genuine, (2) the price was right, and (3) it is the only R84a I have ever seen with a red handstamp cancel, and thus fits my collection perfectly. |
