I assume this is yet another example of a GE perfin with a "missing pin" in the formation of the "E" of "GE":



Fortunately, this one was easy to identify as it is on a Kansas City, MO precancel!

I might as well post my last "GE" perfin. Based on the previously posted control mark locations, it looks to me like this is in the 2.5 position:



Once again the location was easy to identify as it was on an Erie, PA precancel.

GE pattern G72.9. Erie, PA., 1917 to 1942 usage.

Thanks PoStat4evR for the chart. I'll use it myself as I recently came into several 100 stamps with perfins. One thing is clear...young eyes might be better suited to perfin collecting. Perfins are a very educational learning process.
