I'm hoping these images are good enough. Looks like doubling in TWO and some markings in the 2's. (appears to be an eyelash captured in the close up, bottom of the O in TWO, sorry)

No, although it might be a small plate flaw. It also might be that some foreign matter got on the plate and it is a one time occurrence. |

Was hoping this pic might show the O better. Also the line between the W and the T. I really need to get a new scanner. |

That is a much better image, although a still bigger one would help. On this image it looks like a somewhat worn version of the T15, visible in the word TWO and at least the bottom circle is doubled into the numeral. |

Sorry revcollector. Was going to wait and post this after I was able to scan it. Been using the camera for posting other items, couldn't help trying this. |

I darkened up your image to see a little better but I see no signs of a double transferr. Likely what you are seeing is sloppy printing and over inking. These were printed up relatively quick and Q&A wasn't exactly top notch. Nice looking stamp though. |

No, that is a recognized plate variety. If you look carefully at the O of two, you will see a faint second impression just below it running through the middle ofg the darker O. There is also a line running parallel to the T and the arc of color in the 2 is doubling of the circle surrounding the 2. As I said before, this is a worn late state of the plate, so it is not as visible as it once was. |

My notes indicate this is Plate A2 position 155 late state. Earlier state also shows in "CENTS" and lower right "2". |

Looks similar to one of the DTs on my reference page, unlisted in Scott: |

Thanks everyone for responding. I feel I did a diservice by not waiting until I could scan this, instead of using the camera. I appreciate everyones time.
I think revcollector hit on it and lackemacher nailed it down. When I went on revenuecollectors site I took notice of the same stamp he has posted above. It seems to be a faint version of that issue. It's the only one I've found, so it's earning a good spot, in my meager collection. |
