Hello my name is Bill. I started collecting stamps in the late 60's when I was in the Boy Scouts. At the same time my mother collected stamps. I packed them away for years and did not continue collecting. Then I " inherited" my mothers collection several years ago and became interested in collecting again. I have since acquired several small collections from other people and the small collection became quite large. Last Christmas my wife gave me a collection cataloging program, and the passion has again hit. I looked for a forum to find some help identifying some stamps that I think may be misidentified in the software and Scott catalog. Started reading some of the postings and feel overwelmed by the amount of information that is available. Happy to join.

Welcome, Bill! This is a great site for many types of stamp collectors, especially someone such as yourself, who has been a stamp collector in the past and just getting back. I find this site's search engine a great place to start. We are looking forward to hearing about how you are coming alone with bringing your collections together. You can always ask questions here and there will be members who are glad to help answer.
