Although not in the best condition, does anyone know if it was common to find such a considerable height difference in these two stamps?

Also, the E11 stamps are known in ultramarine, pale ultramarine and dark ultramarine, and E11c in blue. Realizing that you can't be too exact based on a scan, what color identification would you give to these two examples?

Edit: Sorry, mismarked in my stockbook. Changed ID from E6 to E11, as the stamps appear unwatermarked.

Since the paper colors are different it makes it even more difficult. The whiter background on the right stamp highlights the tone much better than the brownish paper.

Jumbos are not too uncommon; they were used for 5 years so there were a lot of these issued. They also come in blue and gray violet.

CRAP! Wrong stamp! I apologize!

wt1, I don't know if my humble little assemblage can help you out in any sort of way but I'll post them here anyway as a sort of reference.

I got these in a collection lot that I had purchased at one time a few years back However what I tried to do is assemble them by shades although due to the computer monitor conundrum I don;'t know if can assist you or not, but I'll post them here anyway as a sort of reference. -Jeff

I can't even locate an example (a single) in any of my binders oddly enough! I know that I have at least one on cover but it's in pretty bad shape...lol I feel stupid now...need more coffee I suppose. Now lets get back on topic. #E11 All it says in my catalog is that it is the design of
SD4 ULTRAMARINE but that's really it. No mention of paper types and varieties but that's not to say they dopn't exist though as you well know. -Jeff
