That is kind of like Frank Abignale Jr (forgive my spelling)he was a check forger and impersonator of a lawyer, doctor, & airline pilot in the 1960's. He now works with the FBI and financial institutions on catching counterfeiters and forgers. He is also an author. He is depicting in the film "Catch Me If You Can" by leonardo dicaprio and chased by FBI agent played by tom hanks. It gives new meaning "it tkaes one to know one"

Great post card and interesting history!
Thanks for posting---BTW, that was a good movie"Catch Me If You Can".
A lot of folks don't know this, but the Internet actually started in the 1970's and when the US government caught on that there were hackers out there breaking into their security proof systems--they did the next best thing and put them on the pay roll to keep them from hacking or helping people hack into systems. What a way to make a living--paid not to hack into government areas.
Uh, oh! I feel the spy satellite out in space focusing in on my house! Yikes!

Great postcard John

I love westerns. To bad I don't get to watch them very often.

I couldn't remember who that was (nothing unusual for me) but I did recognize the picture. He was part of one of the History Channel shows on western bad guys. I seem to recall that he led a pretty violent life until he was shot in the back several time while getting liquored up at a bar or something.

I heard the quick draw stuff is Hollywood...but when someone like Wild Bill Hicok drew his gun and aimed he did not flinch..he put the ball where he wanted it to go ! If you can do that with the Colt 45 model 1911 semi automatic at more than 20 feet you are pretty good !

johnstamp,
I forgot to type in that he had passed the bar exam. I have read both his books and find it very fascinating.
