billw2....most of your options posted is hard to choose
without the stamp in hand.
Seeing a added margin, perf tip.....can be seen when dipped
in fluid.
Incorrect color....most monitors show shades differently.

BUT....based on your observations....
I am going to vote left margin added.
You can see "something" there....even the grid cancel is
smudged between the bars.

This kind of game is not much fun without at least having a better scan to use. A back scan might help rule out some of the choices...

My guess will have to be fake perfs added to a natural straight edge at left. I don't think the left margin has been added.

Doesn't look red lilac - more like a grey lilac from this quality scan
The perfs on the bottom look really clean

Shades are impossible from a scan; the left margin has either been added or reperfed from a margin example with a guideline. If the latter the guideline should have been a giveaway.

On my phone, it looks more like the 70a that Bill certed for me a few years ago...

There is a thin line just right of the left perfs that runs all the way top to bottom. I think that is a trim line for the addition of a margin. The main part of the stamp seems to lap over the addition. I hope we will get to see the reverse.

I would agree with the posters who think there is an added margin (and perfs) on the left side.

I agree with those above who said that it's the straight edge with the cutting guideline line on the left that has been privately perforated.

Without seeing in person or the backside, my thought is that the left side is also "odd". It definitely looks like a guideline, but even if not reperfed on that side, it would have had HUGE side margins for this issue!

IMO, however, the color still doesn't look quite right.

Hard to tell color on a monitor, but it could be 70d?
