The irregular cut away portion on the right side doesn't look like anything that I have seen before. It does crudely follow the outline of the design though. Maybe someone was bored and wanted to create a novelty? If so then why not do the same to the left side? The left hand perforations look odd too. Can you post a picture of the entire stamp?

In case you didn't know, the bottom being flat is normal and called a "straight edge". The line of color is the guideline which is used to mark where to cut the panes of stamps apart.

Interesting. Silverfish don't mind black ink, but avoid green

Ah. . The top has a small piece as well. I tried resizing it and it wouldn't show the top. in not enjoying this cropping and resizing.

why110dragon, you're on the cusp of posting easy to see by all images. It does require a few annoying steps, but doing so becomes very quick and painless with practice. Please continue to query us with what you have!

God.. if I posted all of these old stamps..I'd be here all day..many have that nasty brown glue on them:( or are ripped..however, they are from the 1800's...
