I thought I had a strong bid, but ended up the underbidder. Someone else saw what I did in this lot of mostly cut canceled 2nd issues...

Yup. I already have two, but that's a stamp you can't have too many of, especially if I had been the only one to spot it.

My 2014 Specialized only lists the value at $75 for an R115a. This must be one of those instances where you can throw the book out the window?

It went up to $450 in 2015. Still undervalued, IMO. You see the R112 sewing machine perf at a rate of 10:1 or 15:1 comparatively speaking, and that is priced at $125.

I'm not at all sure they did, assuming it is genuine (a better scan would help). There is actually a lot of cat value in this lot, especially since several appear to be uncut.

That beer stamp lot is not all that great, the overall condition is only fair to average on the better stamps, and some of the nice ones tend to come that way.
