I know what you mean stamperdude, but have gone by a few stops along the way! Also, Mrs. DiSilvio is the standout in this reality show her husband's a zero!
I just was given, literally minutes ago a FDC that could tie in to my Rt.66 collection, by the owner of a locally owned pharmacy whose brother was a stamp collector & a WWII veteran. He gave me the 3 cent 50th Anniversary of Motion Pictures issued on 10/31/1944 in Los Angeles, CA aka Hollywood. The cover is an USO envelope mailed to Springfield IL from L.A. Both towns are located on Route 66, which was in heavy use during that timeframe, and the addressee's family runs the pharmacy located on Route 66. This was a very nice gesture and well appreciated.
