Wikipedia says Dictionary of American Regional English was published by Harvard University Press. Interesting that the publisher didn't put that information on the stamp.
I find these interesting too, and the comment about throwing them away must be why they fetch strong prices at auction as most people discard them as rubbish. Some in the $20-40 range on ebay recently. I found a wedding invitation in usps trash w stamps.com stamp of the wedding couple. The garbage of today is the treasure of tomorrow.
