Hi, I'm Paul and I started collecting US stamps in the mid 70s as a kid after discovering my father's US stamp collection. I started with a Harris Liberty album and upgraded to a Scott National stamp album in the early 90s when I could afford to splurge a bit; I had always admired my father's vintage 1940s/1950s National album.

I recently got my album out after 20 or so years of being away from the hobby, aside from buying a few stamps here and there from the USPS, like the Trans-Mississippi sheets, and the Columbian Expo centennial sheets.

I don't have any interest in recent stamps issued by the USPS, and I'll probably just concentrate on the classics like the Washington and Franklin stamps from the early 20th century and fill in the missing stamps thru 1992 when my pages end.

My 12 year old daughter enjoys helping my cut mounts and sort out stamps in the glassine envelopes.

This site is very helpful, and there is a lot of knowledge here to learn from. Looking forward to enjoying stamps once again.
