1898 Series Revenues With Screw Head Showing

So here are my best examples of the screw head showing up in the margins on three of the 1898 Series Revenues Stamps.











I have other examples, but not as complete as these are.

Would really like to see if anyone has it a complete screw head.

The RB24 (U.S.S. Olympia, a Protected Cruiser) is the best one I have, almost, but not quite 100% showing.

How much more complete do they get? The screwhead in the margins of the battleships cruisers lacks a little color, but the screwhead is would be completelty outlined if it hadn't been trimmed. Nice group!

The screw heads for the first 2 are in the color of the overprint while the third is for the color of the stamp. How was the overprint applied on these?

I seem to recall seeing a complete one on a battleship a few years back, but that is the only one I remember.

littleriverphil, I have never seen one 100% complete.

1847bill, you asked how was the overprint applied, I do not know.

Revcollector, I keep looking, hope to find one that 100% someday.

These were printed overprints. They would have to be for a screw head to show up.
