I have what I believe is Scott 10a Type II and someone suggested it might be Scott 11 which is Type I. Any opinions?

Thanks in advance,
Don

It's a Type II, Scott 11A with one line recut in the upper left triangle... probably printed somewhere between mid 1854 and mid '55. The stamp has obvious condition issues but the color and print quality are equally undesirable.

To my earlier reply....
Just that is was not a #10.
There is no difference in cv between 11/11A.

sinclair2010, is the recut line the left perpendicular line of the triangle?

It is the short line that runs north-south and is even with the left edge of the upper left diamond block. So, Yes, I think we are on the same page.

Yes! As always, thank you.
I just realized "vertical line" should have been my words.
