John Becker, excellent I'd forgotten this Scott Numbering System, and here with my grandfathers album on my desk which used this numbering system.

I always learn something new from the members who have good information.

Collecting Officials, you'll see quite a few of the used stamps with the old numbers penceled on the back. One of the reasons to keep old catalogues, that and they really look cool on the book shelf.
Left to right, these are 1940 Specialized, 1929 World, 1932 World, and the blue one is a 1948 Specialized, All Scott catalogues.
