I went through the site looking for some recent comments on the EzPerf software tool. couldn't really find much past 2014. The older comments looked positive. Anyone currently using the product care to comment.
I think it really depends what you wish to use it for.
I purchased it to help sort some Canada Small Queens (which are notorious for varying perfs).
I found it useful, but somewhat cumbersome, especially for stamps where the perfs were less than perfect. That would require manual manipulation of the program to get an accurate result.
In the end, I decided that it is most useful when doing batches of stamps with good perfs to sort basic types (eg. more modern stamps issued with more than one perf measurement). I don't do this myself, so no benefit to me in that regard (at least not yet).
For the Small Queen issue, since I had to do one at a time anyway, I found that a good perf guage was quicker (and equally accurate).
The other thing I do sometimes use it for is if I have a stamp with a rare perf, I can print a "certificate" with the details (for my own reference).
