Thanks to Dan & Bart I've come along way with my revenue collection. I've picked up a few recently I'd like you to check out. The first I posted on another thread, but I should have just started a new thread instead. Not sure whether this is a DT or an inking problem:

Next is this R59 which is what I assume the "scratched plate" variety. I just picked this up today at the asheville stamp club meeting.

I also picked up this R61. I don't know what's going on here. Can anybody tell me about this?

No to the first, it's just a touch heavy in the inking. The second appears to be a plate crack. Not the listed crack obviously, but one of several smaller cracks that are known to occur on this stamp. The mark on the passage ticket is usually called a "rust spot" Some foreign substance pitted the plate a bit so the ink gathers in the pits. Fun to find but a fairly frequent occurrence, especially on many of the lower values.
