As a new member, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I have been collecting for over 40 years and am still fascinated by stamps. I live in Central Virginia and try to get to a few regional shows each year. I collect the world, used, and have gone down many avenues that interest me, the most enduring ones being 7-1-71 covers and Belgium Railway/Parcel Post cancellations.

I find stamp collecting to be a thoroughly effective remedy to stress and love getting 'in the zone' with my collection. I have defined success for my collecting activities as getting stamps mounted in the album to curb my natural tendency towards accumulation.

I have found the forum material here to be quite interesting and look forward to getting to know you.

Very well stated. May I borrow that? I wonder if there's a way to get it to pop up each time I begin to enter something into the search box on ebay??
