Cancel does not show the company name, the stamp in question is shop worn as you can see.

Except for the cancel, would have disposed of this stamp many years ago, but early on I became interested in the cancels on revenue stamps, and just can't let this one go.

R33C, I've enhanced the cancel in one of my right and proper scans below. You'll notice the orientation of this cancel.









New Haven, CT location of this unknown company. My research has not located a company during the 1860's.

Meriden is not too far from New Haven. Not sure what he would use the stamps for.
