Just about 30 stamps in it, 1/3 are fillers, 1/3 with some faults and 1/3 are nice examples. However, I like this small collection of these (in my opionion) underrated US stamps, usually with some nice cancels.

These can be a tough area because of the paper variations. I assume you saw the specimen overprint on the one cent agriculture. |

Hi Revcollector... thank you for your tip. Yes, of course... but, that stamp is a damaged filler... and, specimens on exactly that issue are not very rare... however, I am not familiar with the paper variations.
If you would like to to see any of the stamps in higher resolution... please, let me know. As I can recall, I have paid this small collection only $10, in an Antique bookstore (!), a couple of years ago. |

Being a product of both Continental Bank Note Co & American Bank Note Co, the departmental stamps are found on most of the same paper varieties (no grilled) as the large bank note stamps are. Hard, Intermediate, Soft, Ribbed, and Double. There are three types of papers for the Specimen stamps. |

Specimens on officials fall basically into two categories, either pretty common or quite rare, with few in between.
