I've been collecting a little more than 50 years and I still find it exciting. I'm looking forward to learning something new from the discussions here and I will gladly provide any information I can from my modest collectors library. I am extremely lucky that my wife, Sara also collects and understands my passion for the hobby, it has made our 30 years together very peaceful.

Welcome - it's great to have you onboard. I haven't been collecting quite 50 years, but I do come in at 47 or so!
You are very lucky to have a wife that also collects. Mine doesn't. She tolerates me pretty well, but I do get these "looks" from her when I've got albums, catalogs, stamps and miscellaneous "junk" spread out all over the kitchen, living room or office.
What do you collect? It would be nice to have another collecter of German material here with me. |

Thanks for the welcome....I've just been reading through the discussions and adding my 2cents where I thought it might help. From what I've seen so far, I think I'm going to like it here.

Welcome, Tom.
Great to have you here.
You make me feel like a newcomer, I only have 40 years up. Although my Wife does not collect, she does help me with the collection. |

Welcome
Don't miss our awesome section for contests and quizzes. Lots of kind people looking to send stamps to others who promise to pay it forward by sending stamps to others. A great way to rid yourself of duplicates and make new friends. Not to mention expand your collection.
Check out my posts and create many more of your own.
Welcome and good luck Cynthia |

Hi, I'm new to this forum too. However I haven't been collecting stamps for as long as you have. Less than a month to tell you the truth.
It's nice that your wife collects as well. My husband collects coins and seeing how much fun he was having with the hobby, I decided to start another kind of collection for myself. I've always loved stamps, but until now had never gotten around to starting a collection. I don't plan on going after rare and high valued stamps, I'll probably just collect what I can get my hands on for now and just enjoy the hobby. |
