I can report that the 2 precancels are common, the perfins might be better, but we'd need to see the backs.

Clark. yes, they are a booklet pair. I find unused stamps from stock books at different locations. I usually stay away from George 2's unless they are unused. I don't usually concentrate on them so much.

Blaze... everyone has their own preferences, of course... however by
having a "blanket policy" (so to speak), you may be missing out on
461's and 500's... think about it...

Edit : Or even a 539 come to think of it...

I have had some pretty good luck with the carmines . I have a bunch of mints but this stock book. I have not Identified only a few. Most of the time when I come across A bunch I just stick them in the stock books and say I will do it later . But most of the time later never comes. lol

I have never felt comfortable with 500, to me its like some of the washington franklin coils and I try to avoid them if possible, I most likely have lost or missed something somewere and in general making sets of the washington franklins is my favorite thing.

Jim... it's certainly understandable why you prefer to stay away from
the coils ~ for obvious reasons, however there does not exist any way
(or medium) to fake a 500...
