Hey, I am learning the lingo! I need some more help, please.

I was looking up a few stamps that I have and discoverd these:

Germania stamp with "Deutsches Reich" underneath. 20 pfennig Dk. blue(I don't know the exact color) with "1 Piaster 1" overprinted in Black. Is that from the German offices in Turkey?

ALSO

Germania stamp with "Deutsches Reich" underneath. 5 pfenning dk. green with Black overprint of "Marocco 5 Centimos". Why are some printed Marokko? I know that is the German way to spell it, right?

I have also, some ship stamps in various denominations, mostly german, but with names like Togo, Kiautschou, Kamaroon??? Did Germany occupy these?

Thanks-

Jdgarst0720

First question is yes, Second question yes.
Togo or Togoland was a German colony in Africa. Germany was a late entree into The Euro expansion in Africa. In Africa, German East Africa now broken down into modern Tanzania, Burundi & Rwanda. Togoland was divided between the French & English. The French portion becomes modern Togo & the English area merged with the Gold Coast, now known as Ghana.
German Southwest Africa is now known as Nambia. Cameroon was taken over by the French, later a portion of it transferred to Nigeria. Germany lost all these colonies as a result of WW1. Morocco is different situation. Germany had no colony but extraterritorial postal rights, the same holds true in the Ottoman Empire the forerunner to modern Turkey, and again the same in China.
However, in China Kiautschou was a colony of sorts for Germany.

More later.

The ship on these stamps is the Kaiseryacht "Hohenzollern".
The Hohenzollern appeared on over 300 different stamps

Here is a postcard from German-South-West-Africa: http://666kb.com/i/b5u4phpa3tx80iyxm.jpg
This one doesn't have a stamp at all, just the cancel of the military station where it was sent from.

warrehouse and Drudenfus-

The info has been most helpful. Thanks. I picked these out of huge boxes, which took hours to go thru at Karstadt! What fun!
