Carl,
No offense, but in April Bill told you that the #519 you had listed was a fake. It was this listing

Bill told you, "this listing contains a fake 519 made by adding counterfeit perfs to Scott #344. Holes say too round to be genuine."
You did the right thing and pulled the listing.

But now you have it relisted incorrectly again? What gives?

A genuine coil from the same series as #386 might serve as a template for evaluation.

Ouch! 51Studebaker, the listing is gone. Bad bookkeeping in my spreadsheet. Please note that it was listed and relisted before Bill passed away. I'm glad that Bill's legacy lives on!

For those that collect coils, I would STRONGLY suggest picking up the book, 'HOW TO DETECT DAMAGED, ALTERED AND REPAIRED STAMPS" by Paul W. Schmid ©1979 published PALM PRESS. The book devotes many pages on coils and is an excellent reference -- A MUST for anyone collecting the earlier U.S. coil issues. Besides, it's a small investment to protect yourself from someone who would be willing to "pick your pocket."
