Interesting. I had planned on asking for help verifying my Franklin #7 and #9.

You might want to edit your topic. Maybe include "1851-57 stamps" or something.

Can you post single stamp scans of the 1¢ Franklins ? Also, crop the white space around the stamp.

Sorry, should have clarified better. Can you post a 1200 DPI scan of the 1¢ Franklins ?

Smitty, I'm going to make you very happy....the first perforated stamp down and looks like it may be unused is a type Va and is a variant of number 24. If you look at the Scott catalog, you'll see type Va unused is quite really good. The stamps are a little bit more complete on the right side than most type V stamps and were very nice printings and were the first of the type V stamps printed. Really nice item by the way. For those out there who are platers, it is 72R5, easy to plate with the vertical scratch on the left side and the blur on the bottom right...enjoy, Ray

For Scott Catalog #'s, to me it looks like: 9, 24, 24, 14, 15, 14
