I found these in my childhood collection and would like to see if they can be ID from these scans. The 2 cent single stamp still had a price tag of 70 cents that I paid and had it as # 332. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Robert

The problem with washingtons is you have to know perfs and watermaks but this link might help you
http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...rankmain.htm

a 332 does look like the top stamp so if it was bought that way it most likely is.
there are some perf guages you can print out online maybe someone can post a link to one.

You can download a free printable perf gauge here
http://www.stampsmarter.com/images/perfgauge.pdf

Note: this perf gauge is ok for emergencies, but it is recommended that you purchase a quality gauge as soon as possible. This printable gauge PDF file is locked in a way that will not allow a user to change the scale or margins of the printing. This is critical and is meant to ensure that it prints correctly for accurate measurements.

milbroco,

I'll go out on a limb here. Counting the top perfs, the top stamp has to be either a 332 or a 375, depending if its double or single watermarked. It doesn't appear to be on "blue" paper so we can rule 358 out.

The bottom two look to be perf 11, making them 504 and 499 respectively.

I don't see any reperfing here.

Thanks for the info everyone. I need to look for my perf guage I had as a child along with my watermark tray to help identify some stamps. That stampsmarter web site will be very useful. Before I post for anymore help, I will check the perfs and watermarks. This is a great site. I am glad I stumbled onto it!
Thank again everyone!
Robert
