I know it can't be as hard as it is, but I can ever figure out how to quote text from a previous post. It is certainly not obvious how to do it.

Would it be possible to add this to the FAQ?

Thanks,
Chris

Rather than using the "quick reply", you need to click on "reply to topic", which is one of the links directly above the quick reply box. You need to copy and paste what you want to quote. Highlight that text and then click on "insert quote" (it looks like a piece of paper with a red arrow). That text will then be enclosed in a quote box when you post your reply.

Thanks TheArtfulHinger,

I was wondering about that myself. (Now I know!)

This subject is in the FAQs under the "How to format text with Bold, Italic, Quote, etc..." (near the bottom of that section).

Go here https://goscf.com/f/13 and browse the Sticky Topics at the top of the thread list. I think there is one named FAQ: How Do I Quote Text?

It is brilliantly written and illustrated
