So there's this listing on ebay for a MNH 423A

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131668062389?rmvSB=true

it is not included in Siegel's inventory for this rarity (found here http://siegelauctions.com/dynamic/c...23A/423A.pdf) and the seller's description does not indicate a certificate.

Thoughts?

Just saw 51studebaker's post from 11/18/15 (https://goscf.com/t/46654). Turns out the listing above is the same seller.

The seller is the British Cartel (one of many names sold under). Search "Cartel" here and find multiple posts regarding the Cartel. As advised, you should probably stay away from them.

It is a Scott 408 privately perforated meant to defraud collectors. The perf tips are too wide. Not buyer beware, but rather buyer run in the other direction.

Wonderful round holes, almost perfectly round - but not how they are found on legitimate 423A's.

If you owned a 423A stamp and wanted to sell it, would you throw it on ebay, start it at $0.01, and not bother on a cert? I mean, what possible reason would someone have to do it like this? "Gee, I wont invest $150 to increase interest and possibly make a boat load more money?" Obviously a 423A calls for a cert if you are selling it, doing anything less would be an unbelievable folly. This is one that will not be relisted, some sucker is going to get a 'Second Chance Offer' and buy it 'cheaply'.
