OK, here's the followup to my thread on ridiculous commeratives.

CSAC - Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee

The CSAC was established in 1957 in response to a decade or more of direct interference in the stamp selection process by members of Congress. The Chicken stamp (Poultry Industry) was just one example of a member of Congress trading a commemorative stamp for a campaign contribution or other considerations. The American Automobile Association, the American Bar Association and other stamps honorees are on the list also.

Regardless of what we think of modern stamp subjects, at least they are selected (supposedly) in a non-political, fair way.

A-ha!

Laswabbie, are you a teacher?

If not, you should be! You know how to get my attention riled up, and then when I'm at my most emotional, you pop out with some information hidden in a way that makes it interesting.

Would you like to take care of 2 teenagers for a while, they need some learnin'!
