I may just take you up on that, KGB. Thanks.
Do you specialize in US stamps or all countries?

I can't say I specialize in anything, but I'm working hard on Ireland.

Unfortunately early U.S. stamps is my real weak spot compared to the other guys and gals here.

Hi Paul.. 12 c George Washington 1851..Scott17..In 2015, used imperforated stamp with "Philatelic Foundation certification" went for over 100 in auction. You can view US stamps that have been sold in auctions at usphila.com
Certs are done to determine stamp genuine ect with descriptions by P.S.E, or P.F., so you can read if sold with one or not.
with your black jack stamp-usually look for grill, including 3 locomotive..without grill can be valuable.

P.S.E changed their website..called gradingmatters.com..it provides detailed information. The P. foundation in NYC can call them and they might be able to suggest things or to direct you with an expert in your closest area with your Scott 1.They are very professional and do certs as well.
