Need some help identifying this cancel. At first I thought it was a slogan cancel, but I can't find nothing that seems to match. It appears to end with BANK on the top line and with STER on the 2nd line. Any help would be appreciated.
"The Canadian Flag Cancellation Handbook, 1896-1973" by Ed Richardson, a BNAPS handbook from 1973, shows several variant dies in several cites including this one used at Vancouver in 1917, which seems to match yours better than the others. Regardless, this shows the wording.
The stamp was probably posted within the U.S. and then canceled again in Canada. There's two overlapping cancels. A second cancel is commonly applied when a letter is forwarded to a second destination. In this case the Canadian flag cancel came second.
