I have a couple of the 2000 Space Achievement & Exploration press sheets (Scott 3409-13), one of them I need to cut up in to sheets.
What would be the best size to cut them down to?
There's about 4 different ways I could do it, or should I do it the way the USPS would have done it themselves had I bought the 5 souvenir sheets (which I'm not sure of the size)?
1) I could cut the round $11.75 Space Achievement & Exploration stamp out first then cut the four up leaving a rounded corner on each of the four.
2) Cut the round out, cut up the four, then square them up so there's no rounded corner remaining.
3) Cut them all to the same size like it shows in the Mystic catalog, this seems like there would be a lot of extra waste (losing much of the image for no reason), I assume this is how the USPS sold them.
4) Cut them all to the size of the Showgard Mount Pkg (SFSPCC), which are 1- 92x92, 2- 184x127, 2- 127x184 these seem way too small, which I guess is the same as #3 above, which would involve trimming both sides of the pane, which seems like no good reason to do.
I know stamp collector philosophy is "do what ever pleases you", but I would like to know how you guys would do it. I'm leaning on doing either #1 or 2 above, but finding mounts to fit would be another issue.
Thanks
