This is a gorgeous first number one! Mine was a three margin with a nasty thin. I still need a nice red cancel though...

Beautiful, especially if the cert is a clean one.

Beautiful stamp, Jim!

Red cancels are more common than black on #1. I'd still rather have a red cancel. though.

Nice. Some day I'll have one of those. All those blank spaces at the front of my album bug me.

I know the feeling. Took me forever to finally do something about that too. Yours is an attractive example, which should settle that feeling of having waited so long. For numbers 3 and 4, the mates to this, I just settled for proofs on card and India. BTW nice examples of #2 are more in range today than before as well. My guess is that would fulfill a childhood dream.

Excellent copy.

I have been hunting for a perfect one for a long time. My current one has a small thin but excellent centering otherwise...

Looking at your #1 is causing me to rethink my priorities. I have completed all 20th Century except for the Washington-Franklins. It is becoming somewhat boring. Perhaps I should focus instead on the 19 Century, even if used and hinged. Thoughts?
