Hello everyone.....

I found this little air letter sheet from India a few months ago in a listing from someone in Ontario, Canada. At first glance it is nothing special. It is addressed to a Mrs. Donald Teague in Carmel, Ca. dated 1967. In the letter the writer notes that Mr. Teague had the opportunity to shake hands with Gandhi. (killed in 1948)

I paid $1.00 for this cover.

Donald Teague was one of my fathers cousins!!

That is an exciting find! It pays to read the addresses and the postmarks on covers carefully. I am always on the lookout for my grandparent's and great-grandparent's last names on old covers and post cards, especially to or from Ohio where they had farms. The old cover or post card might be from some correspondence of a "lost" relative and I could find out something about them.
