I am overwhelmed at all the stamps I have stumbled upon that were actually going to be thrown away. I'm trying to get them somewhat organized. I came across a letter from scott publications, inc and dated Feb. 1941 for a double surcharge Ecuador stamp (that I also have) which was requesting to see. I'm assuming the owner of the stamp contacted Scott's with the information but never followed through but I'm uncertain. Does anyone have a suggetions on where I should go or do..... Thanks steph

Welcome to the Stamp Community Family, Stephanie!

You probably need to post a high quality picture of the stamp in question before you are going to get much assistance and information.

Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to the group. I like hearing about how people find bunches of stamps. How did you stumble upon yours?
And I'd love to see a scan of that letter from Scott publishing.
If it were me, and assuming you have the stamp in question, I would make a photo copy of the letter and stamp and send the photocopy of the letter and stamp to Scott Publishing and ask them if they were still interested. Or shoot them an e-mail or give them a call. Keep us updated with what you decide if you please...

Dave N.
