Question I Imagine Is Hard And Asked Frequently

#1 of all time is the Imperforate PB with red maltese cross cancel - I posted mine a couple weeks ago here. It's a touch near on one margin, but I love it.

For this year, I have discovered:

US #292 (cattle in winter storm) - that one needs to be mint for full deliciousness.
US #71 - orange 30c Franklin. Especially if combined with a magenta pink fancy cancel.
And #287, 4c orange, Indian Hunting Buffalo.

YOUR AVATAR represents my favorite SET. One question you asked was "what stamp would you love to have" or something very close. I have wanted a US # 1 and # 2 for 30 years. After joining this site a member led me to a # 1 and I purchased it - VERY PLEASING! I still need and badly want a # 2. I specialize in US stamps almost exclusively. The reason I say "almost" is that I have several hundred 19th century stamps from other countries and MANY hundreds more of newer. I find beautiful stamps from many other countries but I only wish to focus on the United States. I dont have the Penny Black but I have many stamps that I would be happy to trade for US stamps. According to history, your avatar represents a set of stamps that were not popular with the public! I think it is a beautiful set and I have the 1 cent to the 12 cent. The 90 cent is also a great looking stamp.

This is my favorite stamp, although now a freak and oddity. I used the two months that I waited for authentication writing my speech to the Smithsonian
for my presentation of the earliest known cancel of this stamp. Unfortunately, it is an error slug by some postal worker that didnt have his starbucks yet

Columbian Exposition set of 1893 goes down as one of my favorites. jeff
