Question I Imagine Is Hard And Asked Frequently

Being a Paramedic I'm constantly asked "Whats the coolest call you have ever been on?"
Well in that tradition,

What do you consider to be your favorite stamp, collection, cover, BOB, whatever??? Also, other than the OBVIOUS (Invert Jenny, etc) what 1 stamp would you like to have.

So far mine are some German (Nazi) stamps. My dad was there during WWII and I find the HX fascinating. Also like the Japanese WWII time frame stamps, but don't have any specific to WWII yet.
As for which one I really want: Would Like to get a Mackinaw Bridge stamp for my collection. Drive over it several times a years, and my dad also worked on it.

Oh yeah, coolest call, a 9 y/o who got sucked into a corn picker feet first up to his pits.....he lived! Was a great feeeling to actually make a difference.

Have many favorites. But my mint, NH is my # 239, 30 cent Columbian. I love all my Columbians, but this one is as close to perfect as one can find. I don't think I'd like to pull a kid out of a corn picker. You sure you were doing him a favor?

This is as bad as being asked to name my five favorite songs, etc. It's plain hard to do.

I really don't think I could nominate one stamp as my favourite.
I would like to add a Penny Black to my collection though, as this is the stamp that started all this craziness. LOL

Actually the cornpicker kid made a full recovery; Believe it or not! I saw him several years later and would never have known. A true miracle I guess!

The stamp I would most like to have but never will, is the GB £1 UPU in MNH condition.

I may change my mind though.

My favourite stamps, (and I have all of them) based upon my collecting interests:

Costa Rica: Scott No. 1-4;
U.S. Air Mail: 1938 Bicolour 6¢ Eagle;
U.S.: 1957 4¢ 48-star "Old Glory" (Scott No.: 1094);
Indonesia: 1967 Musical Instruments & Maps definitives;
and last but not least...

KGVI Reign of the Empire & Commonwealth: My Avatar!

Hey... None of these stamps are rare nor expensive... but I love them. They really say something about the country they were issued by. Look at the history behind each one, and learn their story.

P.S.: JD: As a first aider with the Boy Scouts for 20+ years; MY coolest call was the kid in Texas that ran into a barbed-wire fence. We cut him off the fence and left the fence in him. We took him to the hospital and they removed the four strips of barbed-wire, bandaged and stitched him up, and we had him back at the camp all in four hours.

Tonymacg, yes lovely item. Every time I see it the paper reminds me of egg cartons, looks so soft and absorbent.

Perhaps printed on paper towel or toilet paper?? "So soft and absorbent".
