I am on the coin forum so some of you recognize me. I have a question that I really do not know. I have been given a SUV full of stamps to sell on ebay or where ever.

If I was to send you a stamp you bought on say ebay how would you like it wrapped? Coins have coin holders and different things but I am clueless as to what supplies I should buy for 1 stamp to mail.
Is there a company I can buy supplies from?
This is not going to be a stamp collection starting type deal. I will be selling all I have.

I received my 6 Scott books in the mail this week. I will start on these tomorrow. I have countries all over the world so I will be shipping international.

This will take me years. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the club.

For mailing a single or small group all you need are some glassine envelopes or stock cards and something to use as an envelope stiffener. Cut to fit pieces of file folders, file cards or any type of non-corrigated cardboard.

Welcome! For larger amounts of stamps, 200+ a bubble wrap type of envelope works well.

Warjag,
Two tips for you after you have placed the item in the envelope. Both are to put off Postal thieves.

Seal all possible openings with cellotape.Even the glued flaps. This will make it harder for the thieves and they will probably leave it because it would take too long to open. A poorly sealed envelope is a 'come-on' for anyone wanting an easy dollar.

Also, write on the envelope "Photo's, DO NOT BEND". These, in theory, will be left alone by any postal vandals.

I have used these two methods for many years, after being advised to do so myself, and I don't think I have had one letter opened.

Coming in the other direction to me....now that's another story !

Have fun

Londonbus1.....

Also, when you mail the item, try to get it hand cancelled, if you're mailing it at the Post Office. Otherwise, put in red letters near the stamps, "HANDCANCEL/HANDSORT, PLEASE". This will stop it from being run through any machines where it could be mutilated if it isn't perfectly flat.
