I've been a collector, off and on, for over 40 years. I spent 20 years building a US 1851 collection, which I sold some time ago, due to getting married. I still prefer early US stamps and postal history for my collection, but I find that I enjoy almost everything about stamp collecting now. I don't have the time that I used to, to devote to philately, but periodic reading of this board and others, definitely allows me to still enjoy stamps.

This board seems to have a good broad representation of collectors, of and from all ilks, which is great.
