Hello Everyone

I am new to the study of stamps; just two years now.
And have been reading this forum for about a year and have learned much.
Of course much of what you all speak about is still foreign to me and I have many questions. I hope I don't annoy you with them too much.

I have acquired a few stamp books with both US and World stamps. Along with first day covers, mint blocks and various miscellaneous items. Thus far I have just been sorting through them and trying to identifying them.

I have purchased a 1989 Scott catalog book set and a 1990 Scott US Specialized book.
These books help identify most stamps but not all. And at times confusing to research.

I still do not know what I will concentrate on as to which country or genre to collect.
But I'm sure I'll figure it out once I understand more on what I have.

Thanks in advance,
HT

Ask away, we have plenty of helpful folks. If possible, post images with your questions.

Ha ha - I've been collecting on and off for most off my life - and sometimes I still meet the same dilemma as you have. Probably most of us have changed focuses in our collection at least once along the way, and so will you. Consider it a voyage where you will discover a lot of new places and taste fruits you never even knew existed - and where you will sail in directions you never intended to in the start. You will even meet some other sailors along the way, most of them are very willing to help.

Don't worry - be stampy

....and do not hesitate to share some pictures!

Welcome. I have collected all over the place. Lots of different topics and countries. US Beer stamp revenues are my latest.
